Moneymaking CVS trip!

I had a fantastic shopping trip to CVS today, mostly due to help from The Frugal Find with a little substitutions of my own!

Always remember to scan your Extra Care card when you enter the store.  Look for the red kiosk that looks like (and, in fact, is) a price scanner.  Scanning your card will almost always spit out a variety of coupons for you!  Today alone, I got a $4 off $20 (my sister got this as well yesterday so that really helped on this trip!), $3 off any Revlon cosmetic, $2 off ANY hand and body lotion, $1 off any Starbucks coffee (today only), and $1 off 2 Hershey's snack packs (today only; I wasn't sure what these were and didn't feel like looking this time)!!

Here's what my trip looked like:
(1) CVS Hand and Nail Lotion - $2.99
(1) Tylenol Precise Pain Relieving Cream (you could also get the heat patches) - $5.99 w/$2 ECBs
(1) Nivea for Men Body Wash - $4.99 w/$4.99 ECBs
(2) Lysol Disinfecting Wipes and (2) Aqua Mist Air Fresheners - 4/$10 w/$5 ECBs when you buy 4

Coupons used:
$4/$20 from CVS "magic coupon machine"
$2/1 Hand and body lotion from CVS "magic coupon machine"
$2/1 Tylenol Precise printable
$2/1 CVS Tylenol Precise printable (Look under healthcare)
$1/1 Nivea for Men Body Wash - 7/25 RP
$1/2 Lysol Disinfecting Wipes printable (sign up under special offers; there are lots of printables on here that you can use with this deal too)
BOGO Aqua Mist Air Fresheners - 8/8 SS
Total OOP: $9.47+tax AND...
$11.99 in ECBs, making this a $2.52 moneymaker trip!

My fantastic Rite Aid shopping trip!

Let me start by once again saying how much I *love* Rite Aid.  They have the most coupon friendly, very well described coupon policy out there.  I always carry a copy of it when going to the store too, just in case!

So here's how my trip looked today.  I did two transactions to maximize my savings and get the lowest out of pocket (OOP) amount.  Please check out this post from Hip2Save, including her shopping trip video.  She just wrote up all the basic info about Rite Aid and it's very extensive if you are new to shopping there or to couponing in general.  A wonderful website to frequent!

Transaction #1
(1) Aussie Shampoo - $2.99
(2) Clairol Root Touch Ups - $4.99 ea
(1) Fructis Shampoo - $2.99
(1) Fructis Conditioner - $2.99
(2) Oreo snack packs - $1
(2) Chips Ahoy snack packs - $1

(2) $1/2 Nabisco snack packs - Rite Aid Video Values coupon
(Please note, you need to have 2 e-mail accounts signed up to get two of any VV coupons as you can only print them one time; the register will beep that your coupon has been used if you try to print them twice.)

Total OOP:  $4.95+tax AND...
(2) $2 +Up rewards from the Root Touch Ups
$1 +Up reward from the Aussie

Transaction #2

(2) $1/1 Noxzema razors printable
Free Coke through Coke Rewards; get info here (You will not be able to get this before the end of the week because this is a mailed coupon so you will need to find something else to fill this slot so you can make it to $20)
AND...
(2) $2 +Up Rewards from first transaction
Total OOP:  $0+$1.05 tax AND...
$1 +Up Reward from Aussie purchase

To put it into perspective, if you went in with no coupons, you would pay more for one box of the Root Touch Up then I did for all the above items!!

Staples $1 deals! Ends today!

If you're obsessed with office supplies like me, you might want to RUN to Staples today and print THESE before you go!!  Everything I bought here was $1 each (I didn't need the highlighters so I skipped those!).  I was afraid they'd be out of a lot or I'd have to search high and low to find them, but nope!  Quickest shopping trip today.  Don't miss out!

Thanks, hip2save!

Cool Aveeno deal at Walgreens!

Walgreens has Aveeno products for 25% off this week.  Not a great sale, but here's a way to turn it into one!  When you purchase 3 Aveeno products, you receive a Travel Essentials bag for free ($10 value!).  Here's what to do:

Buy 3 Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotions 2.5 oz for $2.99 (less 25%; prices vary - they were $2.69 with the discount at my store)
Use (3) $1/1 coupons from HERE (ensure your pop up blocker is OFF; I printed 2 coupons by using two different addresses.  I didn't try and print 2 off of one registration but it may be possible; work with it and see what you can do!)  You'll need 2 printers for this.
Final price: approx. $5.07 for 3 lotions AND the travel kit
AND the travel kit has a $2/1 coupon inside!!

I'm getting paid $3.93 for buying new pens!

Walgreens has an AWESOME deal going on!  They have 2 packs of these fun Pilot Frixion Gel Pens on sale for $1.19 (they erase using friction!).  Well, in the April coupon booklet (located at the front of the store, same rack as the ads) there is a $1 off coupon, making them...$.19 for 2!!

It gets better!  There is a mail in rebate on the back of the packages for $4.50 when you buy 3!  So buy 3 packs for $.57 and mail in for the rebate.  $3.93 moneymaker!!  Score!  One rebate per household.
